David Threlfo | 3D ANIMATION/CAMERAMEN
Before joining Channel Ten Newcastle Production as a Producer / Director and 3D Graphics designer in 1998, David was employed with NBN TV News for 20 years, working as a news cameraman, editor and documentary writer / producer. His work at NBN included film and 3D computer graphics animation and David was fortunate to receive many Thorn-EMI and Australian Cinematographers Society news and animation awards and also a TV Logie for the news documentary ‘The Richmond Vale Railway’.
David has originated, filmed and edited over 12 news documentaries, including seven with TEN Newcastle. In addition, he has 12 years fulltime broadcast 3D logo and effects animation experience across multiple software programs. David’s work has involved major station ID, promo, documentary and commercial material for NBN TV, the Southern Cross Ten and 7 stations and NWS 9 in Adelaide.
David has been married to Jeni for 26 years and they live in inner city Newcastle with their son Kyle. David’s passion – beyond his TV work – is steam engines, restoring and filming them, plus he is a proud volunteer member of the ‘Friends of South Maitland Railway’ (FSMR) group and he also holds a NSW WorkCover ‘Open Class’ boiler operator’s ticket. |
